OCA Global CTA was appointed as technical advisor to perform Technical Due Diligence services in the acquisition process of 11 hydroelectric power plants in Chile, for a local client with expertise in solar thermal energy, and backed by an investment fund based in Washington, DC.

The portfolio comprised a total of 7 operating power plants, 3 power plants under construction, and 2 power plants in ready-to-build (RTB) and under development status.

The services consisted of technical evaluation of electromechanical equipment, including turbine, generator and power transformer, evaluation of electrical installations and power evacuation, and evaluation of civil works. In addition, OCA Global CTA reviewed the total energy produced by the assets (437.4 GWh), and assessed the feasibility of the construction, operation and management contracts, as well as the capital and operating expenditures and the financial model for the entire operation.
