Promotion of distributed solar photovoltaic systems to improve energy access.

The objective is: 

• Support the development of the Uzbek government's sector strategy for distributed solar systems to further improve the quality of electricity in remote regions and also to expand it through private investments
• Iinstall a 20 kilowatt (kW) distributed solar PV system to demonstrate technical feasibility and socio-economic benefits
• Strengthen institutional capacity through training in planning, design, development, implementation and operation of the solar PV system.
