The Spanish public company dedicated to the design, building, maintenance and repair of military and civil vessels Navantia has relied on OCA Global for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) services related to vital upgrade and repair work of "Terra Nova FPSO". 

This vessel, with 110,720 gross tonnage and 120,000 deadweight tons, measures 292.20 meters long, 45.50 meters wide, and 27.94 meters in depth. In addition, it has an oil storage capacity of 960,000 barrels (153,000 m3) and oil production of 150,000 bbl (24,000 m3)/day. This repair and modernization process has been carried out at the Navantia Fene shipyard, where various equipment will be upgraded, including the bow swivel device and a dry dock for replacement of plates and general painting. 

OCA Global has carried out inspections using different non-destructive testing techniques, such as ultrasonic testing, magnetic particles’ inspection, liquid penetrant testing, visual inspection and eddy currents. Thirteen technicians from our company have been in charge of executing these activities.
